Todaiji Temple

The Great Buddha Hall is one of the largest wooden structures in the world. Many of the current temple buildings were rebuilt in the Edo period by Kokei Shonin and others, but they still preserve many cultural assets, including the Hokkedo Hall, Tenpaimon Gate, and Nandaimon Gate, including national treasure buildings that represent each era.
