The Chaotic Beauty of Naples

#passionpassport Naples is the regional capital of Campania and the third largest city in Italy after Rome and Milan, making it the third most populous metropolitan city in Italy. When I first step foot in Naples after taking a bus from the closest airport, my first impression of Naples is that it isn’t as polished as the other cities I visited in Italy, but Naples has something other than glitzy, glamorous, or serene: it has a soul. Naples can be chaotic and gritty, yet it's still beautiful and authentic. During my stay in Naples, I honestly find the city complicated and apologetic due to how congested the streets and the metro is and how public transportation isn't on time. The bus and the metro tend to be crowded and traffic never stops. Despite the chaos that surrounds Naples, the city is always alive. Even on a hot, sticky weekday in Naples, the energy is still flowing in the streets of Naples.
