Euphoria life
One perfect day in Naples: part 1
The city of Naples has a 2,800-year history, so you’ll see everything from medieval castles to glass skyscrapers. The churches here may not be the largest or most impressive, but they are among the country’s most beautiful. And here is the best pizza in Italy (and maybe even all over the world)
Morning:
Start with your coffee in famous Gran Caffe Gambrinus
Then take a stroll through the Naples Centro Storico (the historic center) toward the waterfront. On the way, stop for a photo op at the Castel Nuovo, an imposing fortress built in the 13th century. What looks like a cathedral trying to push its way between two towers is a four-story entrance topped by the Archangel Michael blowing his horn. Reserve ahead for free tickets to see the interior, including the magnificent 16th-century chapel and its gold-plated altar.
They started building Palazzo Reale in 1600 for King Phillip III, if he ever visited Naples—spoiler alert: he didn’t—and it was completely renovated in the 18th century by the Bourbons. Climb the magnificent stairway to the king and queen’s opulent audience chambers. Back then, the more important you were, the closer you got to the actual throne room.
Walk to the waterfront, where you will have your first acquaintance with the Vesuvius Volcano #Naplestrip

South Italy Guide: Amalfi not recommended! Positano is more recommended
Visiting the surroundings of Naples in South Italy, you must go to Amalfi, known as the most beautiful coast in Italy.
You can either drive there or take a boat.
If you take a boat, search for "Molo Beverello" port in Naples, the earliest one leaves at ten in the morning.
A round-trip ticket from Naples to Positano to Amalfi costs 65 euros, but I personally suggest just going to Positano, it's truly stunning! On the other hand, Amalfi feels more like a tourist port, really not recommended

Royal Palace of Naples 🇮🇹
#timetotravel
My visit to the Royal Palace in Naples was a journey into opulence and regal history. Situated in the heart of the city, this majestic palace welcomed me with its grandeur and architectural splendor. As I walked through its lavish halls and admired the ornate decorations, a sense of awe surrounded me. The exquisite Royal Chapel and the breathtaking Throne Room were highlights that transported me to a bygone era of kings and queens. The panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples from the palace's terrace was awe-inspiring. The Royal Palace's central location and its rich heritage made it a cultural gem. It wasn't just a palace; it was a living testament to Naples' royal legacy and a reminder of the city's enduring role in Italian history, leaving me captivated by its elegance and historical significance.

Catacombs of San Gennaro 🏛️
#timetotravel
Exploring the Catacombs of San Gennaro in Naples was an eerie and humbling journey into the city's hidden history. Located beneath the bustling streets, this underground labyrinth fascinated me with its mysterious atmosphere and spiritual significance. As I ventured through the narrow passages and observed the ancient burial sites, a sense of reverence enveloped me. The vivid frescoes and the crypt of San Gennaro were hauntingly beautiful. The Catacombs' central location and their connection to early Christianity made them a compelling historical treasure. It wasn't just a subterranean maze; it was a testament to the faith and devotion of past generations, inviting me to contemplate the layers of Naples' past and the stories etched into its underground corridors.

Pearl Lounge, Naples International Airport
The Pearl Lounge at Naples International Airport, Italy, offers a practical and functional space for travelers looking to unwind and enjoy a comfortable environment. During your visit, you were treated to a selection of hot breakfast items including sausages, eggs, and bacon. This variety of hearty options seems to have satisfied your morning appetite and contributed to a positive experience.
While the lounge’s food offerings were a highlight, you mentioned that the efficiency of the service for drinks left something to be desired. Having drinks served by staff might have led to a slower process, potentially causing a minor inconvenience. However, this didn’t seem to overshadow the overall pleasant atmosphere of the lounge.
With its convenience and inviting ambiance, the Pearl Lounge provided you with a suitable place to relax and spend a few hours during your layover at the airport. Your experience highlights the lounge’s strengths in terms of its functional design, breakfast choices, and general comfort. Sharing these details in your review will certainly help other travelers make informed decisions when considering a visit to the Pearl Lounge at Naples International Airport.

Week in Naples~ walking in SpaccaNapoli
Getting There - I often go to Naples and this time happened to be the time Naples won the third scudetto. Reaching Naples it is easy, you can get here by train, airplane or by driving. The airport is only 30 minutes away from SpaccaNapoli and the train station only 20 mins walking distance.
Attractions - One of the most famous places to go while her in SpaccaNapoli it is Pizza Plebiscito, Margellina, Pompei, an excursion to the Vesuvio, Via Toledo, and Spanish steps.
Hotels - Airbnb or B&B near to the center or well located ( avoid train station)- some of the best places I have ever been are in the center of Naples such as Angioino B&B
Food & Restaurants - Trattoria Nanninella, Sfogliatelle D’alterio, Pizzeria Sorbillo, e Ragù da Tandem.
Shopping - Via Toledo is definitely the best place to shop followed by Corso Umberto.
Best time to go to SpaccaNapoli is in the morning or afternoon 10 am to 7pm :) avoid lunch time :)
By the way the city was decorated due to the Naples soccer team wining 2023 scudetto!

colours of Napoli
Italians only think of blue when thinking of Napoli 🌅
But this city is full of beautiful colors.
From red of pizza to yellow of lemons, the streets are full of people, street food and amazing traditions, it is a really lively place.
If you are going on a tour in Italy, never miss a stop in Naples and of course try the best pizza in this country!
I recommend reaching the town by train, traffic can be hideous...🚝

Rainy moments in Naples 🇮🇹
Naples is easily one of my favourite cities in Italy. Perhaps the rain contributed to the romantic experience, but the atmosphere in this city is incredible. Old meets new down every street and you can sweeten the mood with buttery pastry and strong espresso; or indulge in cheesy Napoli pizza 🍕
Few cities in Italy have been as fraught with turbulence as Naples. If you’ve ever read Elena Ferrante’s My Brilliant Friend series, you’ll know that the history of the city is complicated. In spite of everything it has been through, Naples has regenerated into a thriving center, only growing stronger from its stormy past.
Naples, however, has only grown stronger from these setbacks. Today, tourists from all over the world come to the city to behold its unique landmarks. The Bay of Naples and the looming figure of Mount Vesuvius make Naples a city rich with natural views in addition to historical sites.

Vesuvio 🌋~ Naples, Italy 🇮🇹
Today, Pompeii and the crater of Mount Vesuvius are both extremely popular tourist attractions in Italy and are absolutely unmissable if you're going to be stopping anywhere near Naples on your trip.
Vesuvius probably originated somewhat less than 200,000 years ago. Although a relatively young volcano, Vesuvius had been dormant for centuries before the great eruption of 79 ce that buried the cities of Pompeii, Oplontis, and Stabiae under ashes and lapilli and the city of Herculaneum under a mudflow.#tripblazers #bucketlistreboot #mytripvlog #beachlife

A sfogliatella and a box of pizza - Napoli
You may ask: what’s the best way to see, feel and taste Napoli (Naples in English)?
Well, I shall begin:
If it is not too much of a hassle, then by all means try taking a ferry from Ischia/Capri and slowly sail into the port of Naples.
You will see the majestic Mount Vesuvius from far away and you will be welcomed by several medieval fortresses including Castel Nuovo.
Upon arrival, head on to the city to try an amazing piece of sfogliatella. It is a warm pastry with flaky layers and will certainly SWEETEN the rest of your day!
Walk around the city and you will certainly be greeted by many fans tributes to the legendary Maradona, either in the forms of large mural paintings or just photos and memorabilia.
If you don’t mind waiting in a long queue, do proceed to L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele for the best pizza. Tips: make up your mind if you want to dine in or have it to go because the queue is long and ain’t the same. #italy #naples

Natural Hot Springs by the sea!
Just a ferry ride away from Naples is this beautiful island called Ischia. Not as expensive or touristy as its sister island, Capri - Ischia is perhaps Italy’s best secret!
The island is very easy to navigate using the public bus system. We stayed at Sant Angelo and there were at least 3 choices of beaches to pick from that’s within walking distance! The sea literally glitters in the sun and my favourite part of all? The natural public hot spring at Baia di Sorgeto. Take the bus to Panza old town (Via Provinciale Panza - Succhivo) and walk down the road on Via Fumerie and take all the steps down! If you’re worried to climb back up, you can also opt to take the water taxi back to Sant’Angelo! #passionpassport #beachlife #bucketlistreboot

Getting There - Bus, Metro or subway, by feet
Attractions - cathedral
Hotels - yes
Food & Restaurants - yes
Shopping - yes
The Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary, also called the Duomo,
The Cathedral of Naples is the largest church in the city and one of the most visited sights in Naples. The construction of this cathedral began in the 13th century under Charles I of Anjou and was inaugurated in 1315. Two older Christian churches were incorporated into the Cathedral and this is still clearly visible in the left wing. There are the basilica of Santa Restituta and the baptistery of San Giovanni, a very old baptistery from the 6th century. Note the mosaics in this baptistery that are about 15 centuries (!) old. Excavations under the church have revealed objects from the Greek and Roman periods.
The main attraction of this church is the chapel of San Gennaro the patron saint of the city of Naples, with on the main altar the silver bust containing the saint's skull. The chapel is decorated with frescoes by Domenichino and Giovanni Lanfranco. Januaris was beheaded in 305 during the persecution of Christians by the Roman emperor Diocletian. In the Cathedral of Naples two urns are kept containing, according to legend, the coagulated blood of Januarius. Twice a year these urns are brought close to the head of Januaris, on the first Sunday in May and on 19 September. As if by some miracle, this ancient 'blood' becomes liquid again. To the great relief of the superstitious Neapolitans, because if the blood does not become liquid it means disaster.

Galleria Umberto in Naples Italy 🇮🇹
Galleria Umberto is a huge shopping area where you can have coffee and walk around. This area of Naples is known for having luxury stores and famous brands.
The area is good for talking with friends and observing the beautiful glass roof ceiling and the glamorous marble floors.
This area as a whole is quite walkable and it is even near downtown around where the other tourist attractions are so it is not difficult to find.
There will be many solicitors and advertisers trying to talk to you so please do use discretion and be cautious about what information you give out.
Go out in Naples and stroll through the Galleria!

Ovo Castle in Naples Italy 🇮🇹
Ovo Castle is pretty awesome and easy to reach inside the city of Naples. It is located right next to the water and sort of extends from the street downtown out into the sea.
The Castle is big and full of things to do from museums, sightseeing, and more.
There are bathrooms and places to get something to snack on. There will be plenty of vendors on the bridge with different types of souvenirs and trinkets on the bridge leading into the castle so feel free to take a peak.
Be sure to go to the top of the Castle, oversee the water and beauty of Naples.
It is a picturesque destination and definitely would recommend a visit.

Welcome to the big city of Naples, Italy and the unique underground caves with a strong history and cultural presence in the downtown district of this historical city.
Many are unaware that during the wars, the people of Naples became creative in order to survive and thought of the underground caverns created in order to flee too so that they would not be bombed in their homes or have threat of death.
This exquisite tour is fun and there are many friendly people willing to go with you. Be sure to pack light and wear closed toed shoes because some of the roads and parts of the tour can be a bit rugged.
Please go on this tour, it is so worth it.

The Chaotic Beauty of Naples
#passionpassport Naples is the regional capital of Campania and the third largest city in Italy after Rome and Milan, making it the third most populous metropolitan city in Italy. When I first step foot in Naples after taking a bus from the closest airport, my first impression of Naples is that it isn’t as polished as the other cities I visited in Italy, but Naples has something other than glitzy, glamorous, or serene: it has a soul. Naples can be chaotic and gritty, yet it's still beautiful and authentic. During my stay in Naples, I honestly find the city complicated and apologetic due to how congested the streets and the metro is and how public transportation isn't on time. The bus and the metro tend to be crowded and traffic never stops. Despite the chaos that surrounds Naples, the city is always alive. Even on a hot, sticky weekday in Naples, the energy is still flowing in the streets of Naples. Naples is truly a marvelous city with a rich history between castles, churches, plazas, and endless pizzerias, there are endless possibilities of activities to do in Naples.

THE FAMOUS FILM LOCATION IN VENICE ✈️🇮🇹
This is one of the smaller, unconnected islands that make up Venice's major canal system.
San Giorgio Maggiore may be reached by Vaporetto or a private water taxi and is located close to the Venice Basin and the Grande Canal.
The magnificent San Giorgio Monastery, the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore, and the sizable campanile that resembles the one in St. Mark's Square are all situated on the island.
Visit the magnificent church and monastery, stroll through the little harbor where the numerous boats are berthed, and climb the campanile for breathtaking views of Venice's main metropolis.
Plus, it’s also the famous shooting location of Shakespeare's well-known play "The Merchant of Venice" was made into a fantastic movie in 2004, with Al Pacino portraying Shylock.
The majority of the movie was filmed in Venice, and one of the most stunning locations is undoubtedly the old Benedictine abbey of San Giorgio Maggiore, which serves as the foundation's main office today. In addition, the series A Discovery of Witches made this location a filming site for the exterior of so called “Congregation” of vampires, witches, and demons.
Venice is truly a scenic city perfectly fit for a movie.

Shopping - A lot of streets for shopping as well as shopping centers
Naples is an amazing city to visit. You can easily come there by train if you’re traveling through Italy, which we did. We had a train from the south and were there in 2 hours. First of all we visited the place called Antico Forno delle sfogliatelle calde Attanasio. That’s a must, guys! I have never tried anything fresher and tastier. These pastries are made with curd cheese and are really amazing. Then we walked through the Spanish Quartile full of amazing fruit, vegetables, fresh sea food and Aperols. Definitely recommend! Best prices are there and the people are very nice and hospitable. Next we walked to the Castel Sant'Elmo, where we have seen the best view to the city. We were not staying for a long time so that was the only way to see the volcano in its best position. We made wonderful pics there. And in the evening we visited the TOP 1 pizzeria in the world. Its name is Gino Sorbillo. To enter the pizzeria we needed to wait for about 2 hours in line but it was worth it for sure.
So, visiting Naples don’t forget to eat pastries in Antico Forno delle sfogliatelle calde Attanasio, visit the castle and the market, and obviously- the best pizzeria - Gino Sorbillo! 🍕❤️

‘Old is gold’.
My partner and I had many pizzas in Italy and both of us reckoned this’s the best pizza place that we had. It is the oldest pizzeria in the world and we had the famous pizza S.T.G and Amalfi. The pizza dough’s spot on and sauce was delicious. Although some people may think it is a touristy restaurant, we still believe that you should give a try and visit it when you’re in Naples. #foodie #境外遊 #意大利 #italy #naples #pizza
