Naples Depot Museum

The Naples Depot Museum is a fascinating establishment, founded in 2000. It rests inside a restored station once used by the Seaboard Coast Line Railway. Its goal is to exhibit a range of different bits and pieces of the history of Florida railways and other transportation. For history buffs and train aficionados, this is one of the city’s cool things to do. At the Naples Depot Museum, you’ll be transported all the way back in time to the Roaring Twenties. This was the railroad’s golden age, after all! Exhibits span from those times and forward, collecting various artifacts from history, like miniature train towns and old maps. Other showcases items include Seminole dugout canoes and a mule wagon. You’ll see information about different topics, including racial segregation and its relationship with the railways of Florida. There’s also a lovely selection of restored vehicles, including an antique swamp buggy and a genuine 1950s Chevrolet. The museum is also the host of another establishment, namely the Naples Train Museum. Here, children – and adults below the height limit – will get the chance to ride an outdoor railway. The train loops around the entire structure. The museum also houses a huge model train set that is sure to impress! Address: 1051 5th Ave S, Naples, FL 34102, United States
