Nanhu Park, located on Shuangyong Road, Qingxiu District, Nanning City, Guangxi, is a comprehensive park with Guangxi ethnic characteristics. It integrates waterscapes, subtropical garden scenery, and ornamental garden plants. Nanhu Lake is the largest inner lake in Nanning's urban area, with a surface area of over 930,000 square meters. Its clear water shimmers like a mirror. Officially designated as a park in 1972, it is a popular spot for tourists to sightsee and relax, thanks to its wide expanse of water, lush trees, and proximity to the city center. Main attractions include: * The Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall: This hall houses the Baise Uprising exhibition and monument dedicated to revolutionary martyrs such as Li Mingrui and Wei Baqun, along with a group sculpture of the martyrs. It was included in the first batch of Nanning's protected historical buildings in 2020. * The Nine-Arch Bridge: Built in 1977, this bridge is 305 meters long, 5 meters wide, and 8.7 meters high, with nine arches, the largest of which spans 13.5 meters. Resembling a rainbow, it connects the north and south banks of Nanhu Lake and is a landmark of Nanhu Park. It has been included in the first batch of Nanning's protected historical buildings. * The Lü Ren Sculpture: Lü Ren was the Sima of Yongzhou (the ancient name for Nanning) during the Tang Dynasty. He achieved remarkable political accomplishments during his tenure, including the successful management of Nanhu Lake. * The Large Bonsai Garden: This garden features large-scale bonsai, mainly banyan and bougainvillea. Various famous trees with unique shapes, such as umbrella-shaped trees and banyan trees with hanging roots, are visually appealing. The ingenious landscaping creates three-dimensional scenes. Other attractions include Nanhu Square, the Nine-Bend Bridge Lotus Pond, the Rose Garden, the Azalea Garden, Furong Island, the Areca Garden, the Bonsai Garden, the Orchid Garden, the Shuirun Dadi Cultural Park, the children's play area, and many other gardens and amusement facilities. The park is also a botanical garden, where subtropical trees such as palms, fan palms, coconuts, and mangoes thrive, and various precious flower species can be seen everywhere. The African hibiscus introduced and planted on Furong Island is a sight to behold. The tree trunk is 2–3 meters high, with hanging flower balls composed of more than 20 small flowers. The flowers are brightly colored, creating a stunning display. The park also has a fitness trail around the lake. The sponge-paved road is divided into two colors: crimson for running and black for walking. This aesthetic design separates different types of visitors and makes it a haven for runners, adding color to the rainforest landscape. Boat rides are available on the lake.
