When it comes to traveling in Nanjing, besides the popular spots like Wutong Avenue, Confucius Temple, and Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, there’s also a beautiful hidden gem with fewer crowds: the Great Bao'en Temple right next to Laomendong‼️ The autumn scenery at Great Bao'en Temple is absolutely gorgeous now!! The entire garden is filled with maple leaves🍁, especially the paulownia trees surrounding the temple, which I’d call Nanjing’s second Wutong Avenue ❤️ There are many fun things to do at Great Bao'en Temple👉 1⃣ Visit the main hall + check in at the panoramic viewing platform on the second floor (pics 1-4) 2⃣ Climb the Glazed Tile Pagoda for an amazing city view👻 3⃣ The En Theater live show is free for a limited time in November! 4⃣ Watch the sunset🌇 + the evening🌃 lighting and blessing ceremony 5⃣ The square has a mirror installation perfect for reflection photos (pic 5) 🚉 Transportation tips: The scenic area has an underground parking lot with plenty of spaces, and parking in the city is super cheap at only 6 yuan per hour👏 There are many buses at the entrance.
