The Ritz-Carlton, Nanjing Overlooking the city

This is my second stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Nanjing! The Ritz-Carlton boasts top-tier hardware - automatic toilets with motion sensors, fully automated curtains. The amenities are from Diptyque, and the room decor surpasses many other Ritz properties. I was upgraded to a large corner room. Since the Xuanwu Lake view isn't ideal here, I requested a corner room facing Xinjiekou, offering a panoramic view of China's premier commercial district. The surrounding seven 200m+ skyscrapers are fully visible, with visual impact rivaling Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Service is impeccable - the turndown service included creative bookmarks featuring "Nanjing" characters, each paired with local landmarks and corresponding classical poetry. Later they even comped breakfast (valued at 218/person). The view is truly top-notch. As the tallest standalone building (338m) at Xinjiekou intersection, The Ritz offers near-complete views of Nanjing: from the "China's #1 Commercial District" Xinjiekou up close, to Xiaguan, Jianye's Hexi Financial CBD, Mochou Lake in the distance, and even glimpses of Yuhuatai District government building, Nanjing South Station, Niushou Mountain's Buddha Summit Palace, and BaiJia Lake office towers!
