Nanjing Xiangzhang Huaping Hotel

Nanjing Tangshan is one of the four major hot springs in China, having received dual certification for water quality from Europe and Japan (reportedly the first in China), and is known as the 'Millennium Sacred Hot Spring, Health Paradise'. It is also widely recognized as a genuine hot spring. Nanjing Xiangzhang Huaping is a luxury hotel from the Kayumanis brand in Bali. Located in a small village surrounded by bamboo forests and lush greenery, it consists of standalone villas (only 21 in total), blending Chinese classical charm with Indonesian island style. Each villa features a private Tangshan hot spring bath, with green-gray courtyard walls said to be a characteristic Nanjing blue tile color, exuding a rustic elegance. The courtyard is adorned with camphor and osmanthus trees, and the rooms are spacious, each exceeding 300 square meters. During our stay, it was the season when the osmanthus flowers were in full bloom, with three osmanthus trees in the courtyard covered in yellow flowers, emitting a sweet fragrance. It was truly captivating! Although the facilities are not very new, it does not detract from its serene luxury style, offering excellent privacy. It is said to be the first choice for many Shanghai guests coming to Nanjing for hot springs. Afternoon tea and the mini-bar are complimentary, with early check-in and late check-out until 2 PM, and two servings of handmade camphor cookies. The hotel's porter, Gary, an Indonesian employee, was very warm and friendly, giving us a detailed introduction to the hotel's history, adding a touch of island hotel style.
