| Jiming Temple (1971). Jiming Temple, also known as the Ancient Jiming Temple, is located on the foothills of Jilong Mountain in Xuanwu District, Nanjing. It was founded in the first year of Yongkang of the Western Jin Dynasty (300 AD) and has a history of more than 1,700 years. It is one of the oldest Buddhist temples and royal temples in Nanjing. Its incense has always been thriving and has never declined. Since ancient times, it has been known as 'The Premier Temple of the Southern Dynasties' and 'The Foremost of the Four Hundred and Eighty Temples of the Southern Dynasties.' During the Southern Dynasties, it was as famous as Qixia Temple and Dingshan Temple and was a center of Buddhism in China during that period.
