Although there are many similar imperial mausoleums in Nanjing, the second mausoleum of the Southern Tang Dynasty is the only one with an open underground palace. The Southern Tang Dynasty only had three generations of kings, and the father and grandfather of Li Yu, the last ruler of the Li family, chose to rest here. This family, who loved to read poetry and write lyrics, did not leave much brilliant achievements in Chinese history, but their excellent verses like wind, flower, snow and moon have amazed later generations. The first ruler Li Sheng and the second ruler Li Jing and their queens are all sleeping in this small mausoleum. The Qin Mausoleum is for Li Sheng, and the Shun Mausoleum is for Li Jing. The scale definitely cannot be compared with the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the Qing Thirteen Mausoleums, but the underground palace is well preserved.
