The world's largest Tulou

The largest Tulou—Shunyu Lou, located in Shiqiao Village, Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Fujian Province, was built in 1937. Its outer corridor has a diameter of 86m. Each of its four stories has 72 rooms, totaling 288 rooms, with an additional 80 rooms inside the building, making a total of 368 rooms. Shunyu Lou is built against the mountain and faces the water, with its main gate facing south. The door bolts are two-way and made of hardwood, several centimeters thick, making them extremely sturdy. A small square sits in front of the main gate, with a winding stream flowing in front. With its back to the mountain and facing the water, it is magnificent and enjoys the reputation of "King of Kings."
