Nanchang Regal Crowne Plaza by Lao Qian Feng offers river views, scenery, and ambiance

On a business trip to Nanchang, I chose not to stay in the old city with its many tourists, nor in the business-dense Honggutan area, but rather at the Nanchang Regal Crowne Plaza located in Chaoyang Riverside, as most of my activities were in the Chaoyang New City on the east bank of the Gan River. Since this hotel opened quite early, its overall style is the popular 'Lao Qian Feng' of that time, making it hard to distinguish whether you are in a Shangri-La or a Crowne Plaza the moment you step in. However, the hotel's facilities are well-maintained. Let's talk about the advantages first: prime location, beautiful environment, river view, excellent service, and the basic room (with a bathtub) can be upgraded to an executive room or a river view room. I decisively chose the river view room, and the turndown service even provided milk. The complimentary tourist maps and food guides in the room were also very considerate. There are some drawbacks, such as the bathroom being too small and poorly designed. Although breakfast includes local specialties like pot soup and mixed noodles, the overall variety is limited. Additionally, the swimming pool is relatively small. Overall, the hotel is suitable for business travelers, offering great value for money and convenient transportation.
