Nanchang has a "floating forest" that is as beautiful as a painting

✨The Yuzhou Wetland Park in Nanchang has won the Best Landscape Design Award, becoming one of the six Chinese projects that made the final list out of 70 nominated projects from 43 countries. Yuzhou Park is located north of Aixi Lake in Nanchang, covering an area of 510,000 square meters. The most eye-catching is its unique natural landscape. On a large lake, there are many small islands covered with fir trees scattered around, connected yet seemingly distant, like a floating forest. ✨More than a thousand years ago, Wang Bo described in the preface of "Tengwang Pavilion" the "crane pond and duck island, winding around the poor islands", referring to the numerous small islands in Nanchang where countless cranes and wild ducks lived. The islands are winding and looping. ✨After imagining so much in front of the Chinese textbook for so many years, I finally understood what Nanchang under Wang Bo's pen was like in Yuzhou Park. Because the ecological environment is so good, the lake water is clear, many people will bring their children here to fish, breathing fresh air, sitting on the shore for a whole day. The "Crane Dance Yuzhou" sky bridge in the southwest corner of the park has become a must-visit spot for great photos. ✨The prototype of the bridge is the "provincial bird" white crane of Jiangxi Province. The "beak" part at the southernmost end extends into Aixi Lake, simulating the posture of a white crane dipping water in the lake. A viewing tower of the same style has been built on the bridge, 32 meters high. The view from the tower is great, overlooking the entire Yuzhou Park and the nearby Aixi Lake Wetland Park. ✨In order to create a passage for migratory birds to rest, the designer has opened up a wetland with purification function, and mixed the mud of the fish pond with fly ash to build the floating islands we see now. These islands are not only for people to watch, but also specially designed for birds. The shallow beach of Poyang Lake is a key feeding and resting place for migratory birds such as cranes, egrets, wild geese, and swans. Over the years, as the shallow wetlands have gradually decreased, many birds have nowhere to live and are on the verge of extinction. The appearance of Yuzhou has attracted the return of bird flocks. A large area of maple poplar forest has been planted at the junction of the wetland and the city road to reduce noise and avoid scaring the birds. If you pay close attention while walking, you will find that many islands do not have walkways around them, and people actually can't go up, they are all left for animals' homes. ✨The designer hopes that they can achieve harmonious coexistence with modern cities in an undisturbed environment.
