According to the guide, we planned to stay at Qing'ao Bay to watch the sunrise the next day, so after arriving on the island, we navigated towards Qing'ao Bay. I forgot the name of the first attraction, but the second one was the Presidential Palace, which I personally think is not worth visiting. Hotels are really cheap during the off-season! Most accommodations in Qing'ao Bay are apartments, with options for sea view rooms and garden view rooms. Sea view rooms are further divided into full sea view and partial sea view. We stayed in a full sea view room (p2). The room's cleanliness was average, but the balcony had a wide view. Higher floors are better, but staying by the sea means the sound of waves can be loud at night. After checking in, we had some seafood at a food stall downstairs and then went out for a walk. Some guides suggest renting an electric scooter 🛵, but we found driving a car more convenient. There are many steep slopes, and electric scooters might struggle. The attractions are also somewhat far apart, so driving or hiring a car is recommended. We didn't visit many popular spots, just drove around and took photos. We passed by an oyster farming base; the colorful sea view was really beautiful! Suddenly, we saw many cars parked by the roadside and realized we had reached Highway 2. There were quite a few people taking photos. The Lonely Tree was fenced off when we visited, so we could only view it from a distance. The Tropic of Cancer marker is inside a forest park, requiring an entrance ticket. It closes around 5 PM, so be mindful of the time. When we arrived at the Tropic of Cancer marker, there were only two or three people taking photos, so we didn't have to wait long. Near sunset, we drove to the Changshanwei Lighthouse to watch the sunset. It was a great spot for photos, though it was quite crowded. We had shrimp and crab porridge for dinner in Houzhai Town, bought some marinated seafood and fruits to eat back at the hotel. The town was lively with many dining options, though prices were higher than in the city. The beach at night is also great for photos! Super photogenic! We went in winter, so it was windy and very cold!!! Check the sunrise time, wake up ten minutes early, and you can watch the sunrise by just opening the curtains! Staying by the sea makes it very convenient to watch the sunrise. We were too lazy to go downstairs, so we watched from the balcony. Many people went down to the beach to watch. The sunrise that day wasn't very spectacular. After watching, we went back to sleep and then played on the jet skis downstairs. You can bargain!!! Remember to ask around! It was quite thrilling! After that, we drove off the island, passing by the Sanchongya Lighthouse, took a few photos, and left!
