The old street has experienced vicissitudes, but traces of its past glory are still faintly visible

Nan'an has an old commercial street formed in the 1920s and 1930s - Lixin Street in Guanqiao Town, located near the Beauty Bridge. The street is lined with arcades on both sides, many of which were built by overseas Chinese returning from Nanyang, incorporating both Southern Fujian and Nanyang styles. Despite the vicissitudes, the exterior walls of the buildings on the old street are mostly peeling off, and the window frames are gradually fading. However, through these mottled marks, one can still feel the prosperity of the old street in the past. Stretching over a mile long, the old street vaguely operates traditional tailor shops, grocery stores, watch shops, rice pounding stores... Walking back and forth, the incredibly warm and homely atmosphere emanates from each household's doorway, enveloping you with a sense of the good old days. Thus, time flows by just like this old street, passing through this simple charm.
