Phanom Wan Stone Castle

It is assumed that Phanom Wan Stone Castle was originally built with bricks around the 15th Buddhist century. Later, around the 18th-19th Buddhist century, a stone building was built on top of it, which is similar to Phimai Stone Castle but smaller. Phanom Wan Stone Castle is built as a prang with a rectangular walkway, 25.50 meters long and 10.20 meters wide. The prang has 3 arched doors. The northern arch enshrines a standing Buddha statue in the Apologizing posture, in the Ayutthaya art style. #Songkran2024Travel #PhanomWanStoneCast
