#tripmemory2022 We visited the "Stone Monument at the Historic Site of Shuri Castle" and the "Xi Bo-Kuang Commemorative Monument". "Stone Monument at the Historic Site of Shuri Castle" Shuri Castle was the royal castle of the former Ryukyu Dynasty, and the stone monument was erected in 1972. "Xi Bo-Kuang Commemorative Monument" This monument commemorates the achievements of "Bo-Kuang", who was sent to Ryukyu as a deputy envoy during the Ryukyu Dynasty. The commemorative monuments are built facing each other across the sea, and are filled with the hope that the friendly exchange between the two countries will continue forever, for generations to come.
