Manko Park

Manko Park offers a unique cherry blossom viewing experience, as it’s located near Manko Wetland, a protected area for migratory birds. I found the combination of cherry blossoms and water views particularly beautiful. The walking paths are well-maintained, making it an easy and pleasant place for a stroll. Since it’s not a major tourist attraction, the park is calm, with mostly locals enjoying the scenery. I also saw several birdwatchers with cameras, capturing the diverse birdlife that visits the wetland. While the cherry trees here are not as densely packed as in Nago Castle Park, they still provide lovely bursts of pink during the season. It’s a great spot if you enjoy nature and prefer a quieter hanami experience. Located just a short drive from central Naha, Manko Park is a convenient and underrated place to enjoy Okinawa’s cherry blossoms.
