Nagoya Osu, Higashi-Niomon-dori, a street where tradition and creativity meet

Walking into the Osu business district in Nagoya, I particularly like the Higashininoumon-dori Street. It is not as noisy as the main street, but it hides many stylish shops and a nostalgic atmosphere. Extending from the Osu Kannon Temple, this street connects history, culture and trendy creativity. It is a place where I must take a slow walk every time I come to Osu. The buildings on both sides of the street combine the Showa feeling with the literary style. There are small shops selling vintage clothes, vinyl, Japanese groceries, as well as newly opened design cafes and anime peripheral specialty stores.
