The bus departed early the morning from Meitetsu station and after about 2 hours drive, we reached takayama and we were given a bit of time to walk around the old town sanmachi Suji. We tried the hida takayama speciality hoba miso hida beef. It was yummy! After lunch we continued our journey to Shirakawago. The scenery along the way was amazing! It started snowing. After about 45 min ride, we finally reached our destination Shirakawago! This is my revisit of this winter wonderland after 20 years! It’s still as nice as before but a lot more tourists now! We spent a few hours walking around this fairytale winter wonderland before making our way back to Nagoya. On second day, we visited the Nagoya castle in the morning! It’s beautiful! And we spent the rest of the day shopping and eating! We tried the famous Nagoya special fried chicken wings tebasaki and the ebidote.
