Nagoya [Yagotoyama Koshoji Temple]

It was founded in 1688 by the monk Tenzui Ensho, who received the vajra of Kobo Daishi. Since the second lord of Owari Domain, Tokugawa Mitsutomo, became a follower, it has become known as a place of prayer for the Owari Tokugawa family. Known as "Owari Koyasan," it has been a place of learning and training, as well as a place of faith for people. The temple grounds are filled with buildings built during the Edo period, such as the Nishiyama Main Hall and Nomando Hall. The five-story pagoda, built in Bunka 5 (1808), is the symbol of Koshoji.
