The Tokugawa Art Museum

#thingstodo This is a wonderful museum about the Daimiyo period. It talks about the lords, vassals, the lifestyle and mentality of the time. As someone who enjoys learning about history I really enjoyed this museum. Beware, the museum is predominantly in Japanese with small labels of English. So the parts of the museums explaining the stories will be pretty much lost on you and there are no subtitles for foreigners. You are also not allowed to take any pictures inside the museum. Mostly it is for security reasons as the objects, scriptures and scrolls you will see on display are from the time period and very susceptible to light. Would highly recommend visiting and be sure to check their lovely garden area.
