[Nagasaki] Tour the World Heritage Site Gunkanjima! One-day cruise trip

Gunkanjima is a component part of the World Heritage Site "Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution - Iron and Steel, Shipbuilding and Coal Mining." The island prospered from the Meiji to Showa periods thanks to undersea coal mines, and in the 1960s had a higher population density than Tokyo. With the closure of the mines, the residents are gone, but you can still land on Gunkanjima by taking day cruises.
