Since Nagasaki was one of the first cities to open as a port, Portuguese, Dutch, and Chinese cultures had to mix, and it is said to be a kind of banquet cuisine that was born at that time. It is basically Japanese cuisine with the styles of the three countries mentioned above added. It is literally a banquet dish, so it is impossible to eat alone, but I heard that there is a place that serves it as a set for one person, so I made a reservation in advance and visited. It is #Shippoku Hamakatsu (#卓袱浜勝)!! After sitting in the reserved seat, I enjoyed the courses that came out one by one. It started with a soup called Ohire, and the main dish was a variety of Japanese stews and pickles that were compressed into a single bowl. Then came sashimi. Fried food came out in the middle to change the mood, and then a meal including rice came out, and a dish similar to Chinese Dongpo Pork came out with Japanese pickles as a side dish. Lastly, there was a Western dessert called jelly and a Japanese dessert called sweet red bean porridge~ It was nice to be able to feel the identity of the city of Nagasaki symbolically through this one meal.
