Oman Muscat Hotel Recommendations

During our stay in Muscat, Oman, we chose The St Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort. This Muscat St. Regis hotel has a great design aesthetic and has only been open for just over a year. It's not far from the airport, with a sunken lobby that offers expansive views of the pool and beach. The geometric patterns and modern minimalist lines create an impressive blend of Arabian elements with contemporary style. The rooms are spacious and bright, and when you open the window, the sea is right there—living by the ocean with blue as far as the eye can see creates the perfect vacation atmosphere! The hotel features both indoor and outdoor pools, perfect for a leisurely family vacation. There are 9 restaurants offering Middle Eastern, Peruvian, and Italian cuisines with plenty of choices. The food is authentic, and the signature St. Regis butler service is thoughtful and attentive. 🍽️ We also went to the Chedi Muscat hotel for lunch. As soon as you enter, the frankincense mixed with the salty sea breeze instantly relaxes you—they truly understand the relaxed feeling of a vacation! White buildings with Arabian arches, corridors lined with tall palm trees, and sunlight filtering through the leaves creating patterns on the ground—every step feels like walking through a time tunnel. 🦞 For lunch, we had grilled lobster with scrambled eggs—the lobster meat was fresh and tender with a perfect bite, and the eggs were creamy and flavorful. The sushi and sashimi were rich and buttery. The spring rolls had crispy exteriors with rich fillings, complemented by a flavorful dipping sauce. The spice-marinated grilled skewers were slightly charred outside and juicy inside, exuding rich Middle Eastern spice aromas. Paired with hummus, they offered complex layers of flavor, and they even provided chili sauce suited to Asian tastes—absolutely perfect! The waves gently lapping against the shore, fishing boats drifting by in the distance, the rustling of palm leaves—time slows down here. Facing the sea, sitting by the pool watching the changing light and shadows, you can spend an entire afternoon just like that. This is how life by the sea should be!
