At the edge of the galaxy

Lauterbrunnen, a Swiss pastoral scene in the canton of Bern, is painted together with villages such as Wengen and Mürren. Here, the population is sparse, yet more than the surrounding small villages. Lauterbrunnen railway station, located in the heart of the village, is a junction for the Bernese Oberland Railway to Interlaken and the Wengernalp Railway to Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg, and Grindelwald. At Kleine Scheidegg, passengers can transfer to the Jungfrau Railway that crosses the Eiger to the Jungfrau. Next to the main station, the lower terminal of the Bergbahn Lauterbrunnen-Mürren, passengers can take a cable car or train directly to Mürren. In Lauterbrunnen town, apart from the main station, there are nine small stations on the WAB line such as Wengwald, Wengen, Allmend, Wengernalp, and Kleine Scheidegg, the Eigergletscher station on the JB line, and the Grütschalp, Winteregg, and Mürren stations on the LSMS line. Postal buses connect Lauterbrunnen village closely with Stechelberg, Trümmelbach Falls, and Isenfluh. To reach Mürren, travelers can take a bus to Stechelberg and then transfer to the LSMS cable car. Swiss efficient trains make it easy to reach Lauterbrunnen: departing from Interlaken Ost, direct to the valley's Lauterbrunnen, with a service every half hour, taking only 20 minutes. From Grindelwald, take a train to Zweilütschinen and transfer to Lauterbrunnen, a total of 37 minutes. The train from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen takes 13 minutes. From Mürren, take a cable car to Stechelberg, then transfer to bus 141 to Lauterbrunnen, about 1 hour; or take the mountain railway to Grütschalp and transfer to the cable car to Lauterbrunnen, 22 minutes. Cable cars run every 15 minutes, 4 minutes up the mountain. There is an underground parking garage in Lauterbrunnen village, about 20 minutes' drive from Interlaken. There is a gas station in the village, and the parking lot is located on the left side of the village entrance, 18 Swiss francs per day. After paying the visitor's tax, guests can receive the Lauterbrunnen guest card, which offers discounts at the local swimming pool, mini-golf course, and Trümmelbach Falls.
