WASTUCOFFE | SYAHDU ON THE BORDER

There is something soothing at the border of Cibinong-Depok. Not far from Grand Depok City, wastucoffee fills the coffee shop gap in the Pabuaran Cibinong area. Slightly hidden behind sturdy walls, it is unexpectedly spacious and cool, surrounded by trees. Afternoons clearly have a more serene atmosphere, but from morning to midday, Wastu Coffee is also a great place for coffee or even WFC. Open daily from 8 AM, it’s not just the back terrace that is well-facilitated with spacious seating. The air-conditioned seating area is adequate, and this indoor area includes a meeting room. Clean prayer rooms and toilets are available. Another unexpected aspect is the quality of the coffee. They use arabica coffee for both classic coffee and milk coffee. Currently, they use beans sourced from one of the guaranteed good coffee roasteries, Fugol from Bandung. I was immediately excited to order an iced americano plus a Japanese iced coffee--there’s a slow bar in the coffee bar corner. I also ordered iced coffee milk, known as es kopi Wastu, and a non-coffee drink that looks interesting, matcha berry. Beverage prices range from 20-30 thousand rupiahs, which I find very reasonable considering the quality of the coffee used. The menu features a variety of heavy and light meals. I really like the crispy cireng and the sweet fried bananas. In the heavy meals section, there are various rice and noodle dishes as well as spaghetti.
