Forget Bali! Lombok is a more chilled paradise

Lombok is a hidden gem compared to its neighbor Bali. I found it to be so much more relaxed, with fewer tourists and a laid-back vibe that made the trip feel like a true escape. The beaches are beautiful, especially the ones on the south coast. What really blew me away were the sunsets – they were absolutely stunning, casting vibrant colors over the ocean. The locals are incredibly friendly, and the island still has a sense of authenticity that I loved. I also enjoyed exploring the waterfalls in the rainforest and hiking up Mount Rinjani, though that’s for the adventurous. A great tip is to rent a scooter to get around – it gives you the freedom to explore the less touristy parts of the island. Just be prepared for a bumpy ride on some roads.
