Laos | Experience a romantic sunset cruise while slightly tipsy

There are no must-visit attractions in Laos, but the sunset cruise has become one of the beloved activities. It's leisurely and romantic, a very comfortable experience. 🏝️⛵️🛟 We saw the River Sun's ticket office on our way to Wat Xieng Thong and booked a cruise for the next day. There are two types of cruise packages: Shared Cruise and Private Cruise. The former has larger boats, typically 6-8 people per boat during the off-season. We booked a private cruise, which was more comfortable and offered more personal space. 🌊⛲️📸 The Private Cruise comes with a captain and a server, providing attentive service throughout. The service is very considerate, and they even offer to take photos, with surprisingly good photography skills. 🌅🏜️🛶 The cruise departs at 4:30 PM and lasts for 2.5 hours. It sails along the Mekong River for a while before stopping at a viewing point to wait for the sunset. 🥩🍲🍹 The cruise includes a dinner with the choice of Western or local Lao cuisine. The taste of the food is good, and the portions are generous. Free flow of in-house red wine, beer, and white wine is available, and you can start ordering drinks as soon as you board, allowing you to enjoy the sunset scenery while slightly tipsy, which is a wonderfully cozy and romantic experience. 🛺🎪🎰 After disembarking, there's a special buggy service that can take you to the night market, which is very thoughtful. 📝🌤️☀️ However, it's recommended to check the weather in advance and be prepared for sun protection.
