I chose the Skyline Trail to Panorama Point, where you can admire glaciers, waterfalls, and valleys up close. I was even lucky enough to spot a few marmots among the rocks. 2. Sunrise This is the highest area in the park (about 1,950 meters) and one of the best places to view the full panorama of Mount Rainier. Unfortunately, it was foggy that day, and I couldn't see the entire peak, but the glimpses of the mountain through the mist were still awe-inspiring. If the weather is good, I recommend the Burroughs Mountain Trail, which brings you closer to the peak. 3. Grove of the Patriarchs This trail is relatively easy and suitable for the whole family. Along the trail, you can admire ancient redwoods and fir trees, which give a sense of nature's grandeur and historical depth. There's also a suspension bridge along the way, adding a bit of adventure. Weather Changes and Gear Recommendations The weather at Mount Rainier is unpredictable, especially in the mountains where fog can roll in or temperatures can drop suddenly. It's advisable to dress in layers. Even in summer, there can still be snow on the mountain, so waterproof hiking boots, windbreakers, or raincoats are essential. Additionally, if planning a long hike, remember to bring enough water and food, and be mindful of wildlife.
