Ballarat Municipal Observatory & Museum

#australiatrip What a delight! I’d visited Ballarat many times but was unaware of the Observatory; I’m so pleased I saw their brochure in the Tourist Information Centre. I went up to the Observatory and Museum on an 18-stop walking tour through Mt Pleasant, Ballarat’s oldest suburb. Such a warm welcome. I was the only visitor at that time but was kindly given a brief (fascinating) tour. I’d love to come back when night-sky viewings or other events are on and when the 3rd Rock Cafe is in full swing.
