Mount Coolum | Sunshine Coast

A great work out for the whole family and amazing views once you arrive at the top!!! Located 5 minutes from the Sunshine Coast Airport and about 30 minutes south of Noosa, Mount Coolum is one of the many accessible mountains you are able to climb on the Sunshine Coast and this one is the closest to the water affording great views up and down the coast. Suitable for all ages, the climb can be done in about 15 minutes but obviously depends on how fit and agile you are. I reckon the average person can go up and down in an hour, depending on how long you spend at the top admiring the views. Be sure to avoid the middle of the day as the climb can be quite draining, especially in the midday sun in the middle of the summer 🥵 There is usually a food truck positioned at the bottom of the mountain serving snacks and refreshments which can be handy when you’ve run out of water.
