Arctic Territory｜8-Day Travel Itinerary in Norway

In the winter in Norway, there are snow-covered fjords, stunning auroras, and of course longer nights. Let me share our 8-day itinerary for this trip to Norway👇 - D1-2 Oslo 🔹The first three days were spent in Oslo to adjust to the time difference, and by the way, I spent two days walking around the city. 🔹Recommend [Fram Museum], very interesting 🔹In the evening, you can go to [Akershus Castle] or [Munch Museum] to watch the sunset - D3 Oslo✈️Evonnes🚗Reine 🔹We flew to Evenes and entered the Lofoten Islands. The advantage is that Oslo can fly directly, but the disadvantage is that it is still a long drive from the Lofoten Islands. 🔹We drove for 6 hours to Reine after landing, mainly because it would be dark soon after landing and there would be no scenery to see, so it would be better to use the time to hurry on. 🔹If you fly to Evenes like us, I would recommend you to stay in Svolvær first. - D4-5 Reine Ouzhen Leknes Ballstad 🔹The area around Reine can be said to be the essence of the Lofoten Islands. Hamne Island is the view from the cover of Lonely Planet. The classic yellow cabin is located in Saklisøy. 🔹The town of Ao is very small. There is a [Norwegian Fishing Village Museum]. It is recommended to walk to the [Ao Town Viewpoint], where the view is great 🔹We stayed in Balsta near Leknes for the next two days. There was a snowstorm, but luckily we didn’t have to move. We just lay in the B&B and enjoyed the snow outside the window. - D6 Henningsvaer Svolvaer 🔹Henningsvær is a relatively large fishing village in the Lofoten Islands. Most of the tourists who come here are for the football field. The village itself is also quite nice to visit. The sunset is very beautiful. 🔹Svolvær is the capital of the Lofoten Islands region. It can be considered a city. Many tourists choose to take a boat from here to Tromsø. - D7-8 Tromso 🔹Our original plan was to return the car at Evenes Airport and fly to Tromsø, but the flight was cancelled due to weather reasons. We ended up driving for four hours overnight to Tromsø. Apart from the weather factors, this section of the road is not difficult to drive by ourselves. 🔹The city of Tromsø has become quite commercialized, with shops mainly concentrated in the Storgata area. 🔹You may need to go up the mountain to enjoy the view of Tromso, but we did not go up the mountain because it was raining all the time. - 🧾In general, the classic views of the Lofoten Islands are concentrated near Reine and Henningsvær, and you can arrange your accommodation near these two towns; in addition, there are many observation decks along the way from Svolvær to Reine, and the scenery is also great. -
