The Kremlin ( ), located in the heart of Moscow, is a group of buildings that have been awarded the World Heritage Site. It is a symbol of the Russian state and one of the largest buildings in the world. "Kremlin" means "inner city" and "castle" in Russian. Its architectural form combines different styles such as Byzantium, Russia, Baroque and Greek Rome. Today, this ancient castle is not only the seat of the Russian government, but also a storage place for Russian art treasures. This group of buildings is irregularly triangular, with the Moscow River in the south, the Red Square in the east, and the Alexander Garden in the west. It is surrounded by a red palace wall, like a city in the city. The main buildings that can be visited today include the arsenal museum ( ), the Assumption Cathedral ( ), the Cathedral of the Archangel ( ), the Cathedral of the Annunciation ( ), the Cathedral of the Dormition ( ) The Twelve Apostles Church ( ) and the Ivan the Great Bell Tower ( ). It takes at least a full day to look through all the facilities and exhibitions open to travelers in the Kremlin.
