Special Forces of Kyushu (2) - Takachiho Gorge is pretty good

Continuing from the last article, after going to Shirakawa Spring with Lian, the next stop was Takachiho. Takachiho Gorge is indeed quite nice but not very large. At first, I thought "gorge" meant it would be huge (like the Tiger Leaping Gorge on the Jinsha River). It turns out the word "gorge" was misleading; it’s probably about the same size as Dui Jiuyu in the Ming Tombs area of Beijing, or even smaller (but the scenery is really nice). (I wish Beijing’s cultural tourism could better manage its natural scenic spots. The natural scenery is good, but many attractions have poor management.) It’s a pity we didn’t take a boat at Takachiho. The natural scenery is perfect for a slow, leisurely visit.
