[Yamanashi] Let's go to the summer mountains! Hiking trail from Hirokawara to Shirane Oike

This is a picture of the route from Hirokawara, the trailhead of Kita-dake, the second highest mountain in Japan, to Shirane-Oike, the base for climbing Kita-dake. Summer mountain season has arrived, and Hirokawara is a season when many people enjoy mountain climbing. The route to Shirane-Oike is not particularly dangerous, but it is quite a steep climb. You start by crossing a suspension bridge and heading through the deep greenery. There are points along the way where you have to cross a stream, but there are mostly bridges and footholds, so it's not a problem. You can head to Shirane-Oike while enjoying the alpine plants and the occasional view of the Ho-o Sanzan mountains. Please note that from Shirane-Oike onwards, it is a full-scale alpine climb. It is possible to climb Shirane-Oike as a day trip depending on the start of the climb, but you will need to stay overnight to reach Kita-dake unless you are very fit and experienced. #DomesticTravel #YamanashiPrefecture #MountainClimbing
