I highly recommend a 2 hour guided tour (easy to book via Trip.com) to see both the roof/terrace of the Cathedral and the inside. A local guide can give you those little stories and insights that truly elevate your visit, such as the statue of the saint who was skinned alive and whose statue is therefore moved into the back of the cathedral as to not scare people off at the entrance. Highly recommend!

I can&#39;t understand, but I was shocked that the church itself opened at 9 o&#39;clock, and there were very few people even on Sundays, and there were more people by 11 o&#39;clock. Another point is that there are 2 different teams to visit the interior of the church and go up to the roof. But after coming down from the roof, you can visit the interior directly.

The tower part of Milan&#39;s cathedral has been under renovation, and it is not the same as other churches because it is the back of the building, there are many people in line, the city view is not as good as Paris, but the building is suitable for composition and photography.

💙 최후의 만찬 관람하기
산타마리아 성당에 레오나르도 다빈치의 최후의 만찬을 미리 예매해서 관람했어요. 사실 별 생각없이 예매해서 관람한건데 저에게는 잊지 못하는 순간이 되었습니다. 직접 눈으로 마주한 최후의 만찬은 사진으로 봤을때와는 너무나도 다른 감동을 주었어요. 

♥️ 밀라노 대성당
밀라노를 대표하는 밀라노 대성당은 다른 유럽 성당들 중에게 가장 인상 깊었어요. 외벽의 조각들을 하나하나 천천히 눈에 담았는데요 넋을 놓고 보다 목이 빠지는 줄 알았답니다. 그리도 밀라노 대성당에는 관람객들도 많지만 비둘기도 많아요...

💛스포르체스코성
공항으로 가기전 스포르체스코성에서 시간을 보냈어요. 여행이 끝나는 날이였습니다. 한가롭고 여유로운 스포르체스코성 공원에서 여유를 즐기는 사람들을 바라보며 너무나도 집으로 돌아가기 싫었던 기억이납니다. 너무 여유로운 곳이였어요. 

💙 한식
밀라노에서 먹은 한식을 잊을 수가 없어요!! 오픈 시단 딱맞춰 가서 먹었답니다. 그곳에서 먹은 한국의 맛은 정말 최고였어요. 

아주 짧은 일정이였지만 알차게 보낸 밀라노 1박 2일 이였습니다.

💙 Viewing The Last Supper
I had pre-booked a ticket to see Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper at the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church. Honestly, I booked it without much thought, but it turned out to be an unforgettable moment for me. Seeing The Last Supper in person was an entirely different experience compared to viewing it in photos—it was truly moving.

♥️ Milan Cathedral
The Milan Cathedral, a symbol of the city, stood out to me among all the European cathedrals I’ve visited. I took my time admiring each and every sculpture on its exterior, so much so that I almost strained my neck from looking up in awe. The cathedral is not only filled with visitors but also with plenty of pigeons...

💛 Sforza Castle
Before heading to the airport, I spent some time at Sforza Castle. It was the last day of my trip. Watching people leisurely enjoying themselves in the serene and relaxed atmosphere of the castle park made me not want to return home. It was such a peaceful place.

💙 Korean Food
I can’t forget the Korean food I had in Milan! I went right when the restaurant opened, and the taste of home was absolutely amazing.

Although it was a very short trip, my 1 night and 2 days in Milan were packed with meaningful experiences.

1 Night 2 Days in Milan

Standing in front of the Duomo di Milano took my breath away. Photos simply don’t do justice to the scale, detail, and beauty of this gothic masterpiece. Every spire, every statue carved into the façade felt like a piece of living history. What moved me most was climbing up to the rooftop terrace—being up there, surrounded by marble spires and overlooking the heart of Milan, was surreal. It gave me goosebumps!

Tips for your visit:
	•Go early in the morning to avoid heavy crowds, especially if you plan to take rooftop photos.
	•Book tickets online in advance (get the Fast Track Pass if you’re short on time).
	•The rooftop has stairs or an elevator—take the stairs if you’re up for the workout and want to save a few euros.
	•Wear comfy shoes and prepare to be wowed by the view from the top—it’s one of the best perspectives of the city.
	•Don’t forget to take a moment to just breathe it all in.

 歐洲的教堂是很多很多的，比如有聖母百花大教堂、聖彼得大教堂、巴黎聖母院、威尼斯的聖馬可大教堂，無疑多莫大教堂也是其中很引人注目的一座。

 米蘭多莫大教堂建於1386年，建造長達5個世紀，用200萬噸大理石，135個塔尖，裡外雕刻6000座，法國皇帝拿破崙在此登基成為法蘭西第一帝國國王。它是世界上最大的哥特式教堂之一 ，其規模在世界排第二。見證了米蘭乃至意大利的許多重要歷史事件，在天主教界的地位及其重要，是世界上影響力最大的教堂之一。

廣場北面是埃馬努埃萊二世拱廊，建成於1865年至1877年，廊頂為拱圓形，頂部裝有彩色玻璃棚，建築顯得高大又富麗堂皇。這裡現在有各種高端品牌店、咖啡館和餐廳，是米蘭時尚與商業的象徵。

 值得一提的是米蘭大教堂屋頂矗立著135座刺向天空的尖塔，形成獨特的天際線，尖塔的頂端都立有一尊真人大小的雕像。另外還能看到各種雕像和浮雕，非常華麗而莊嚴，很有視覺衝擊力！

 走進教堂內部參觀，教堂裡有24扇世界上最大的建於500多年前的彩繪玻璃窗，陽光穿透進來，映照的五彩斑斕，美輪美奐。教堂的地板，圖案也非常有特色，工藝精湛，具有很高的藝術價值。

Europe has many cathedrals, such as Florence Cathedral, St. Peter's Basilica, Notre-Dame de Paris, St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, and undoubtedly the Duomo di Milano is one of the most striking among them.

Milan Cathedral was built in 1386, with construction spanning 5 centuries, using 2 million tons of marble, featuring 135 spires, and adorned with 6,000 sculptures inside and out. French Emperor Napoleon was crowned King of the Kingdom of Italy here. It is one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, ranking second globally in size. It has witnessed many important historical events in Milan and Italy, holds an extremely important position in the Catholic world, and is one of the most influential cathedrals worldwide.

On the north side of the square is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, built between 1865 and 1877. It features an arched ceiling topped with colored glass, making the structure appear both grand and magnificent. Today, it houses various luxury brand stores, cafes, and restaurants, symbolizing Milan's fashion and commerce.

Worth mentioning are the 135 spires that rise toward the sky from Milan Cathedral's roof, creating a unique skyline, with each spire topped by a life-sized statue. You can also see various sculptures and reliefs that are incredibly ornate and solemn, creating a powerful visual impact!

Inside the cathedral, there are 24 of the world's largest stained glass windows, created over 500 years ago. When sunlight shines through them, they cast colorful reflections that are breathtakingly beautiful. The cathedral floor also features distinctive patterns, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and high artistic value.

Milan is an exciting but expensive city (especially compared to other Italian cities).
I stayed here for just 2 days, but I managed to walk around almost the entire city… and spend nearly all my money 😅

My three-star hotel near the central train station cost a little over €100 per night!

📍Places I managed to visit:
1. Duomo di Milano – it’s better to buy your ticket online. I recommend taking the stairs instead of the elevator — there are usually no queues.
2. Pinacoteca di Brera
3. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II 
4. Navigli district
5. Eataly and Bosco Verticale
6. Castello Sforzesco
7.  Starbucks Reserve Roastery: prices are higher than in regular cafés, but the interior is really interesting.

🚇How to get around the city:
Public transport isn’t very cheap either. A daily metro ticket costs around €3. Overall, I recommend exploring the city center on foot to truly experience the beauty of Milan!

A Perfect 9-Day Itinerary for Italy

Nothing prepares you for the beauty of Milan’s Duomo, a true highlight and landmark of the city. Inside is breathtaking, but the rooftop is my favourite. Wander up the stairs to see the gothic spires against the skyline of the city.

Entry ticket varies on the package, but ours was around €25 per person including the rooftop. Highly recommended to buy online to avoid queueing.

Tip: Visit early to skip the crowds and take the stairs. On summer Thursdays, they host concerts on the rooftop after 7:00pm.

🇮🇹來義大利，一定要吃義大利麵！就像去德國漢堡不能不吃漢堡一樣（我真的有這種奇怪的執念）。這裡不只人熱情，連份量都熱情到讓人差點投降！當然，我還是全部吃光光了♥️（靈魂被麵條拯救）。

然後重頭戲：意～式～冰～淇～淋！！隨便走進一條巷子，都會遇到繽紛華麗、浮誇好吃到不行的 Gelato！就算你是那種對冰淇淋冷感的理性派（如果這種人真的存在的話），走一圈也會被甜蜜洗腦，一支接一支停不下來。我是永遠的開心果狂粉！

然後還有 Limoncello — 義大利人最愛的餐後酒之一。
不只好喝，瓶子造型也美到不行。酸酸甜甜的清爽口感，來義大利一定要現場來一杯，再順手帶一瓶回家！
