DID YOU KNOW that the Duomo Di Milano: 1. Was the reason why the creation of a new canal system in the Navigli area of #milano was created. 2. Took more than six centuries to complete. 3. Has more statues than any other building in the world. 4. Napoleon Bonaparte wanted to be crowned King of Italy inside the Duomo after conquering the city. 5. Had at least 78 different architects invited to work on it. 6. Leonardo da Vinci even submitted a proposal to design the central cupola, but later withdrew his submission (too bad). 7. In 1768 Brera Academy astronomers created a sundial, which is still visible to this date. 8. Has 55 beautifully elaborate stained glass windows throughout the Cathedral. 9. Has a rooftop which offers some of the best views over the city. 10.
