Miaoli Huoyan Mountain│Parent-child leisure trail to see the "Taiwan version of the Grand Canyon"

Huoyan Mountain is located between Yuanli and Sanyi in Miaoli. The top of the mountain is 602 meters high and is one of the 100 Small Mountains. The exposed rock walls are red and the nearly vertical terrain makes it known as the "Taiwan Grand Canyon". It is also an easy-to-reach, low-difficulty mountain trail. The soil near the edge of Huoyan Mountain is very soft and may collapse at any time. A cordon has been set up. Please do not cross it. The red canyon is flanked by verdant vegetation, and in the distance you can see the valley and plains. This combination of scenery is really quite special. I remember that I came to Huoyan Mountain in the afternoon of summer. It was a hot summer day and it started to rain heavily halfway up the mountain. I didn’t have any rain gear with me and there was no shelter on the trail. It was my first time climbing a mountain and it was so embarrassing. The rain gradually eased after about half an hour.
