If you're visiting Malacca for the first time, copy this one-day itinerary.

Malaysia is visa-free, so I decided to take a spontaneous trip. I finally visited Malacca, a place I've longed to visit, and it was truly amazing. I really like this colorful, dopamine-filled, Southeast Asian-style small town. It feels like being in Venice on the sea. I wandered aimlessly through the streets, taking photos, trying local food, daydreaming by the river, and enjoying the sea breeze. It was so relaxing. - ⭐️⭐️Malacca One-Day Itinerary: Dutch Square ➡️ A Famosa ➡️ St. Paul's Church ➡️ Sultan's Palace ➡️ Menara Taming Sari ➡️ Malacca Straits Mosque ➡️ Jonker Street ➡️ Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum ➡️ Malacca River Cruise. - ✅ Dutch Square The red buildings and exotic atmosphere of the square make for great photos. There are also many museums nearby where you can learn about the local history and culture. - ✅ A Famosa Locals call it the "gate without walls." At the top of the hill is St. Paul's Church, where you can learn about the colonial history from 150 years ago. The view of Malacca from the top of the hill is beautiful. - ✅ Sultan's Palace It houses the Malacca Cultural Museum, which displays the daily items used in the palace. - ✅ Menara Taming Sari A super cool observation tower that rotates and rises to a high point, offering a panoramic view of Malacca. - ✅ Jonker Street A street with a Southeast Asian vibe, beautiful architecture, and lots of delicious snacks. Jonker Street is also great for shopping, with many old specialty stores, craft shops, and local clothing stores, perfect for buying souvenirs. There are also many cafes and milk tea shops on this street, so you can take a break at a cafe when you're tired. - ✅ Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum Learn about the local Peranakan culture. The architecture and exhibits here are very exquisite. - ✅ Malacca River Cruise The scenery along the river is very beautiful, showcasing the essence of Malacca's landscape, especially the colorful houses. - ✅ Malacca Straits Mosque The sunset here is stunning on a clear evening. Long pants are required for entry (long clothes are available for rent at the entrance). - ⭐️⭐️Malacca Travel Tips 1⃣️ Malaysia is visa-free. Remember to fill out the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) 3 days before departure. 2⃣️ There are direct buses from Kuala Lumpur Airport, or you can take a bus from TBS Bus Terminal. The journey takes about 2 hours, with many departures. Tickets cost 11-14 RM. 3⃣️ Malacca has a night market on Jonker Street every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which is very lively. 4⃣️ Malacca is not big, so you can do a one-day round trip from Kuala Lumpur. If you have more time, you can enjoy a leisurely two-day trip. 5⃣️ For accommodation, I recommend staying on Jonker Street or along the Malacca River. My room had a view of the canal, which was amazing. 6⃣️ You can use Grab or Bolt for taxis, which is very convenient. 7⃣️ Many shops in Malacca only accept cash or local cards, so remember to bring enough cash.
