The China Hakka Museum is the only thematic museum in China that collects, studies, displays, and inherits Hakka culture. It consists of the main museum and the branch museums: Huang Zunxian Memorial Museum, Meizhou University President's Museum, and Meizhou Museum. Construction began in 2005, it was opened to the public in 2008, covering an area of 170.3 acres, with a total construction area of 37,000 square meters and a total investment of 150 million yuan. A while ago, I went to Meizhou with my friends. One of the places we visited was the China Hakka Museum. The museum is very large, and the Hakka culture's wedding customs, Hakka food, historical figures, characteristic buildings, etc. are all detailed in the museum, which gave me a preliminary understanding of Hakka culture. After visiting the Hakka Museum, my friends and I wandered around nearby and happened to see a huge statue of Hakka Mother which was very eye-catching, so we took a few photos. A female tourist next to me saw that I was professional and asked me to take pictures of her and her children in front of the statue. Looking at their bright smiles, the girl's cute scissors hand pose, the camera clicked, leaving a commemorative photo. It's quite warm, really nice.
