Visit Guizhou for the May Day holiday! These lesser-known attractions are also worth a visit

Besides having dinner at Huangxiaoxi, Guizhou has many hidden treasures, Tucked away in the deep mountains, not very famous, but fascinating and fun to explore. Huang (Huangguoshu), Xiao (Xiaoqikong), Xi (Xijiang), Chi (Chishui), Wan (Wanfenglin), Fan (Fanjing Mountain). 1️⃣ Maolan Nature Reserve 📍Libo County, Qiannan A national nature reserve, it features a typical karst forest landscape and still maintains a very primitive ecosystem, preserving many extremely precious species of flora and fauna. Forests above, stone forests in the middle, and cave forests below, it's beautiful, strange, and thrilling! 2️⃣ Jiabang Rice Terraces 📍Congjiang County, Qiandongnan One of the best rice terraces in China, a World Agricultural Cultural Heritage site, a living 'agricultural culture museum'. The Miao people's rice fields are planted along the mountains, on a large scale, and are super impressive! Nearly 10,000 acres, spread along a 25-kilometer road from Dangniu Village to Jiabang Village, with the essence in Dangniu, Jiaye, and Jiache (jū) villages, spanning 9 kilometers. 3️⃣ Wudong Miao Village 📍Leishan County, Qiandongnan Hidden in the valley of Leigong Mountain, the mother mountain of the Miao people, at an altitude of 1300 meters, surrounded by mountains and shrouded in mist, you can look up to see the main peak of the Miaoling Mountains. Three streams embrace the Miao village, with water wheels, milling houses, wind and rain bridges, and stilted buildings, making it a Miao paradise and one of the 'classic village landscapes of China', and one of the most beautiful Miao villages on Leigong Mountain. 4️⃣ Meitan Tea Sea 📍Meitan County, Zunyi City The world's largest contiguous tea plantation, nearly 60,000 acres, an endless expanse of green, being there is like being in an ocean of tea. From the Sea View Tower, looking down from the top of the tower, the green waves stretch on, refreshing and stunning! Evergreen all year round, suitable for visiting in all seasons. 5️⃣ Dali Dong Village 📍Rongjiang County, Qiandongnan An ancient Dong village built during the Ming Dynasty, the whole village is Dong people, and on ordinary days, villagers still wear ethnic costumes, with women combing their hair in ancient styles. There are also well-preserved traces of Han culture, such as quadrangle courtyards and stone slab ancient paths, which are unique to Dali. On holidays, villagers will dress up and sing Dong grand songs, a heavenly sound! 6️⃣ Rongjiang Village Supermarket 📍Rongjiang County, Qiandongnan Rongjiang is the venue for the village supermarket, and this year's competition has started again! 62 village teams have decided on the top 20, and the finals will be held from March to July, with matches also taking place during the May Day period. The Rongjiang morning market is also worth visiting, full of local delicacies, less than a ten-minute drive from the village supermarket football field. 7️⃣ Longji Sky Road 📍Liuzhi Special District, Liupanshui A road carved out of Longji Mountain, winding towards the sky, is one of the top ten classic hiking routes in Guizhou. 15 kilometers long, with the highest altitude over 1800 meters, it is a typical karst landscape featuring sinkholes, caves, canyons, and stone forests. The nearby Zangke River scenic area is one of the few natural paragliding outdoor activity bases in China, and international paragliding competitions are held here every year.
