Explore the Medina

#celebrateit Medina, the second holy place in Islam after Mecca. Medina means "the city of prophets" in Arabic, and the reason is that there is a mosque of the Prophet, where the tomb of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, is enshrined. Medina's attractions are the mosque built by the Prophet Muhammad, Al Masjid Nabawi (commonly known as the "Prophet's Mosque") and the Kuba Mosque, the first mosque in Islam. Previously, only Muslims could enter the Medina, but although they were not allowed to enter the mosque of the Holy Land, they could now get close to the entrance of the mosque site.
