NIHI Sumba

Private, secluded and truly spectacular. Hidden away on the west coast of Sumba island with private villas and everything else you can think of, including swimming with horses, it is understandable that the resort it rated this high. But we had an average experience. Overall waiting service (excluding our own personal butler) was not great and food qaulity lacked the high end 5 star standards. It is very pricy for what you get if you consider what you can get for the same price at other high end Indonesian island resorts. However, being so secluded and private probably comes with its own premium and I think that is for what you pay at the end of the day.
