Maoming | Sheraton Hot Spring Resort Hotel

| After a few days on the road back from a self-driving tour, I decided to soak in the hot springs to relieve fatigue. I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel, which offers a weekday package of 899 RMB for double breakfast and dinner. It shares a hot spring with another hotel in the Yu Shui Gu Hot Spring Resort. The hotel, which opened in 2022, has a really nice environment and rooms. The weather was also great, with a gentle cool breeze, neither cold nor hot. Possibly because it was a weekday, there were hardly any people, almost like having a private booking with 36 natural hot springs to choose from, which was incredibly comfortable. Buffet: There aren't many types (understandable given the few people), but in the end, you can still get full, and the food quality is pretty good, with free white wine to drink FREE. Bug: Surprisingly, the Sheraton Hotel doesn't have bed rails. The place is quite remote, accessed through a village, so you can only stay in the hotel. The water park is also really old, with no one around, the water barely on, and no staff at the towel station. You have to pour your own water. But considering the real hot springs are quiet, with no people, and the pools are clean and comfortable, these issues can be overlooked. The off-peak travel experience is really great, making it worth the stay.
