Philippines Manila Augustine Cathedral

The capital of the Philippines, Manila, known as the "East Vatican", has many Catholic churches. The most famous of them is the San Agustin Church, which was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site by the United Nations in 1993. The present-day San Agustin Church is built entirely of stone. The museum is located on the right side of the church. After being transformed into a stone building, the church still experienced greater warfare. When the church was rebuilt after World War II, the Philippine government turned it into a museum, which can be used for Catholic worship and visited by outsiders. Today, the San Agustin Church exhibits a large number of Philippine and Spanish art and cultural relics, including oil paintings, classics, sculptures, utensils, and more. More importantly, there are several pieces of porcelain from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties of China, as well as large pottery jars from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, making it a cultural holy site in Manila. I have never seen such a huge pipe organ and surrounded carved choir seats with rules. Visit the San Agustin Church and it feels like reviewing the modern history of the Philippines.
