Male, Maldives, encounter the pearl of the Indian Ocean The blue sea and blue sky of Maldives have always been shining on my travel list. Finally, I set foot on this long-awaited land and arrived at Male, the capital of Maldives. As soon as you get off the plane, the tropical atmosphere hits you. I went to the city of Male first. Walking on the narrow streets full of life, you can see brightly colored houses everywhere. They are like carefully placed building blocks, scattered in an orderly manner. Passing by the local mosque, the white building shone with holy light in the sun. The exquisite carvings and unique dome design made me stop to admire and feel the solemnity and beauty of the religious building. The fish market is a must-visit when in Male. As soon as you enter the fish market, the fishy smell of various seafood and the voices of people hawking their wares are intertwined. The stalls were filled with fish, shrimps, crabs, etc. that had just been caught. They were colorful and incredibly large in size. I watched the fishermen skillfully handling the seafood and bargaining with the buyers. This humane life scene gave me a more intuitive understanding of life in Male. I also bought some fresh seafood and planned to find a restaurant to process it so that I could taste this delicacy from the Indian Ocean. Tired of shopping, I came to the Male's seaside promenade. Strolling along the beach, you will see the smooth sand under your feet and the endless Indian Ocean in the distance. The sea water presents different shades of blue-green, which is breathtakingly beautiful. The sea breeze blows gently on my face, bringing a hint of coolness. I found a place to sit down, watching the ships passing by on the sea and the dolphins occasionally jumping out of the water, my heart was filled with joy. At night, Male's night market becomes lively. The streets are lined with various stalls, some selling special handicrafts and some selling snacks. I made my way through the crowd, sampling local snacks such as fried fish balls and samosas, each bite bursting with unique flavour. I also bought some exquisite handicrafts to take back and give to my relatives and friends. The day before leaving Male, I went to a small island nearby. We arrived quickly by speedboat. The beach on the island is whiter and smoother, the sea water is crystal clear, and you can see colorful corals and tropical fish. I couldn't wait to put on my swimsuit and jump into the sea for snorkeling. Underwater, I seemed to have entered a fairy tale world. The beautiful coral reefs were like underwater gardens, and all kinds of tropical fish swam around me. This feeling of close contact with nature will be unforgettable for me. During this trip to Male, I not only appreciated the beautiful natural scenery, but also experienced the unique local culture. Male, Maldives, this pearl in the Indian Ocean, has left me with so many beautiful memories, and I look forward to meeting it again next time.
