Kifune Shrine (貴船神社, Kifune Jinja)

Kifune Shrine is absolutely gorgeous in any season.The stone staircase lined with red wooden lanterns and covered by a canopy of maples leading up to Kifune Shrine’s main hall is a famous sight often photographed. This temple is worth visiting around the mountain area with waterfalls and great view. The hike will consume some energy but there are also buses going up. It is advisable to come early morning on weekdays to beat the crowd.
