Wat Nong Hu Ling, Maha Sarakham Province Admire the beauty of the Ubosot in the shape of an Ananta Naga boat. Inside the Ubosot is a statue of the Buddha in the First Sermon posture, made from Nawalloha metal. The reason for the First Sermon posture is so that Buddhists who enter the Ubosot feel like they are listening to the teachings of the Buddha. Every part of the Ubosot and the surrounding area is filled with various riddles, such as: 🪷 There are 4 directions to go up and down the Ubosot, representing the Four Noble Truths: the Noble Truth of Suffering, the Origin of Suffering, the Cessation of Suffering, the Path to its Cessation, and the Wall 🪷 The four glass windows on the sides of the Ubosot are in the shape of a five-headed Naga, representing the Five Precepts, reminding Buddhists to practice the Five Precepts 🪷 The swan statue at the stern of the boat is like supporting the boat to reach the shore. To heaven and nirvana 🪷 The four corners of the chapel are statues of the Four Great Guardian Deities, standing guard and protecting from danger.
