Wat Mahathat Royal Monastery

Wat Mahathat is considered a temple of Yasothon since the city was founded. It is located in the Yasothon Municipality. Inside the temple, there are important historical sites and artifacts, namely Phra Phutthapatima Busayarat or Phra Kaew Yod Nam Kang, the smallest Buddha image in Thailand, Phra That Anan, the only pagoda in Thailand containing the relics of Phra Anan, and a beautiful water-based library.
